Africa has a long tradition of hand-made jewelry in special shapes, colors and textures. You can inspire your own jewelry from African style, using the same raw materials, such as jewelry manufacturers in Africa. Your documents can be as simple as a necklace or ornamental uses as one of the numbers in healing ceremonies and rituals of African spiritual practices.

This inspired by looking at examples of African jewelry. Authentic Africa (see Resources below) has photos of many types of traditional tribal jewelery from Nigerian coconut disc necklaces Ethiopian crosses and chains from the bones in Kenya, Mali wedding beads.


Determine style. If you go for a unique pendant in search of a larger bead or charm with an interesting pattern or color. If you plan to put more beads, try on a neutral background (black velvet background is traditionally used by jewelers is) to see how they look together. You can also combine a trailer with smaller beads.


Buy African beads. African Trade Beads (see Resources) sells various types of African beads and jewelry supplies, and the company claims that the materials are purchased in an ethical manner, usually directly from the households in West Africa. Note that some of the pieces are limited edition or old, and a high price, while the other pearls are more affordable.


Measurement for a long wire beads or when the grains larger skin or cable. There should be sufficient to round the neck and 5 cm to wrap. If you wire, slide a crimp on one end part of the buckle. Pull the wire through the crimp, twist, and then flatten the crimp bead with pliers. Cut off the tail of the wire.


Thread the beads. If you have a symmetrical pattern, starting with the core product and add segments on each side. Add the second part of the closing price or, if you have a snap hook, attach a jump ring. Pull the thread through the closure and redundancy.
